Greenhouse to Garden Room: Our Time at the Good Life Show 2025

Inspiration, Sustainability & Rethinking What a Greenhouse Can Be

The Good Life Show recently wrapped up at the CTICC in Cape Town this year and we felt it was the perfect opportunity to share our experience of The Good Life Show 2025. The expo brought together thousands of people passionate about sustainability, healthy living, knowing what is in their food and products, and creating a more conscious lifestyle. As a business that is deeply passionate about helping people grow more and live better, it was the perfect event for Easy Greenhouses to be part of.

Over the course of the show, we had the opportunity to meet existing customers, connect with new gardeners, and share our vision for how a backyard greenhouse can be so much more than a place to grow plants.

A Greenhouse That Stopped People in Their Tracks

For the show, we displayed our popular Grand Gro 3.6m Greenhouse, but with a twist.

Rather than styling it purely as a backyard greenhouse, we transformed it into a beautiful lifestyle space complete with furniture, indoor plants, soft furnishings, and décor. The goal was simple: to inspire visitors to think differently about how a greenhouse can be used.

The response was incredible.

Visitors were amazed by the quality and aesthetics of the greenhouse and many commented on how versatile the space felt. While most were initially drawn to the idea of growing vegetables and herbs, many discussed imagining the greenhouse as a place to relax, entertain, read, or simply escape from the busy pace of daily life.

More Than a Greenhouse

One of the biggest conversations we had at the show was around the idea of a greenhouse as a lifestyle space

Traditionally, greenhouses have been associated with growing food and plants. While this remains their primary purpose, modern greenhouse design has opened up exciting new possibilities.

A backyard greenhouse used for lifestyle purposes can combine the beauty of a garden with the comfort of an indoor living space. Surrounded by natural light and greenery, it creates a unique environment that can be enjoyed throughout the year.

Popular uses include:

  • A peaceful reading nook
  • An outdoor dining room
  • A garden lounge

The result is a space that helps you connect with nature while still enjoying the comfort and protection of being indoors.

Why Homeowners Are Looking Beyond Traditional Gardening

Many visitors told us they loved the idea of growing their own food, and how exciting it is to be able to provide for your family but they were equally excited about creating a beautiful lifestyle space in their garden.

This reflects a growing trend towards outdoor living and sustainable home design.

People are looking for spaces that:

  • Encourage a slower pace of life
  • Create a connection with nature
  • Add value to their property
  • Support wellness and mental wellbeing
  • Offer year-round enjoyment

A greenhouse can deliver all of these benefits while still providing the perfect environment for growing plants and vegetables

The Luxe Gro Greenhouse: The Ultimate Garden Room

While our Grand Gro Greenhouse was the star of the show, many visitors asked which greenhouse we would recommend specifically for a conservatory or lifestyle space.

Our answer is the Luxe Gro Greenhouse.

Sustainability Starts at Home

The Good Life Show celebrates innovative ways to live more sustainably, and that message resonated strongly throughout the event.

For many visitors, a greenhouse represents more than gardening. It's a practical step towards a more sustainable lifestyle.

Growing your own herbs, vegetables, and fruit reduces food miles, encourages healthier eating, and creates a greater connection with where your food comes from.

At the same time, a greenhouse creates a beautiful space where families can spend time together and enjoy the benefits of nature every day.
